First Lady Dr. Jill Biden and second gentleman Doug Emhoff are scheduled to visit Milwaukee and Waukesha on Wednesday. This will be the only visit from any White House official following the Waukesha parade killings that took place nearly a month ago.

As reported by WKOW, they will arrive in Milwaukee at around 4:00 p.m. where they will visit Children’s Wisconsin, accompanied by U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy.

WKOW said that they are visiting both to “meet with frontline health care workers that have treated COVID-19 patients and victims of the Waukesha Christmas parade tragedy.”

Biden and Emhoff will also visit Waukesha City Hall to meet with victims and first responders regarding the Waukesha Christmas parade killing. The meeting will be closed to the public.

Darrell Brooks is being charged with six counts of intentional homicide, after he intentionally drove his SUV into a Christmas parade in Waukesha. Five victims died at the scene and one child passed away in a hospital after the incident. Over 60 participants were wounded.

As reported by The Wisconsin Daily Star, “On Sunday, November 21 Brooks drove right through the barricades and the officers blocking the street for the parade. He drove through the parade for about 8 blocks.”

Brooks was out on a $1,000 bail after he attempted to run over the mother of his child earlier in November. Brooks also had a criminal record spanning over two decades.

As reported by FOX6, Brooks is also being charged with witness coercion and intimidation after offering marriage to the mother of his child in exchange for cooperation.

Brooks is set to appear before judges in late December for both the Waukesha parade charges and another felony charge from earlier this year.
